The 1st Friday Gathering on 6/9/2019.

The early birds who arrived at Northam Beach Cafe were Jeyablan N, Jeyabalan B and Ng Goh Lim. Then came Cheng Wah. In slow space, all 8 of us were seated on the long table and ready for old time chat. By this time, the waitresses were familiar with our orders.

JB came with JN as usual otherwise JN will give excuses for not attending our Friday meet, so we understand. Both of them have been very consistent in your attendance for the 1st Friday Gathering. This evening JN left early as his wife was not feeling well. It was a testing period for some of us as we tried to call for a 'Grab' taxi for JN. We never done this before. Finally, while Poh Chan successfully in getting the 'Grab', I was still downloading the app.

There were several excitements during this evening. When we arrival at the cafe, there were young 'Tiger' girls, all dressed in white, who were promoting the new brand of beer. All of were given a cup to drink on the house. Touched and influenced by the 'Tiger' girls, Poh Chan ordered 3 Tiger Iced beer. We were given an extra complimentary bottle. The pretty promoters left at 10.00 pm.

Master George Chan excited us with two performances; transforming a ringgit note to ten ringgit and later, cutting a chopstick into half with a ringgit note.

As usual, our ears were treated with nice soft music of the 60s.
